Smokey DeVille first emerged into the public eye with a fire breathing
and glass torture act in the Fall of 2002. Using that to get his name
out, he began work on his debut EP, Precursor, in the fall of 2004.
After numerous setbacks, the four song EP was finally
released on the internet one year later, with a compact disk version of
the album shortly thereafter, which was sent to fans all over the US,
Canada, South America, and Europe.
His full length album, Meat: The Resignation of the Doomed is available now, for only $10. "I encourage my listeners to have no expectations when it comes to my releases, as it is my goal to make sure that no two albums sound completely alike. The new album is a little more experimental than Precursor, and more personal."
The album features original cover art by G. Edwin Taylor, as well as several works by Smokey DeVille himself. The first 30 copies are signed and numbered by both DeVille and Taylor. To receive a complimentary copy of "Taste of Meat", the four song EP
containing tracks from Meat, plus one track never to be released again,
contact Precursor is currently out of print.
